6YearsLater

Illustration for Six Years Later 003 magazine. Theme - Instinct. Title - NO HARM. Trust your instinct, it means you no harm. This artwork captures my human behaviour that is mediated by unconscious reactions. Inspired by animal who born with certain instincts to protect themselves. Six Years Later is an art-work only magazine. No articles, no interviews, no top 100 tips that will make you the next big thing. They wholly believe that pictures are worth a thousand words... maybe even a thousand and one.

Decorator

Drawing by me via instagram.
Florence Welch : I've always been a bit of a decorator. I think if I wasn't a singer I'd probably be in stage setting or interior design or something. I like clutter and I'm quite visually greedy. I can't have things to be plain; I have to have things looking interesting... maybe I'm just a frustrated interior designer stuck in a singing career.

No need

(Nani Puspasari, Some Old Brand New You, 32 x 23 cm, ink and thread on paper)

It's never too late to start a new. NO NEED... (1) to act on impulse or feel the need to continually do something. there is much to discover in the act of not doing. (2) to rush to do something. take time and do things at your own pace. different rhythms & harmonies weaved together create a symphony. (3) to try and be different or stand out. just simply being ourselves is what makes us unique. (4) to worry about always needing to create something beautiful. embrace the true artist within who is expressive & sharing something meaningful with the world. (article by Satsuki Shibuya

Painting in progress

How I spent my Easter Holidays? I locked myself in my art studio to focus on completing those painting. Four commissioned painting for upcoming beautiful new Cafe & Dining in Melbourne. I'm pleased with how those pieces turned out. Almost done, I need to get my sleep schedule back on track :)

In the studio

I'm gonna try to update my blog regularly. I got a thousand pictures from my art daily adventurescafe review, and Melbourne snapshot which I should share those with you. I keep promised myself to write more since last year. One of my big goals this year is to make this blog more interactive and informative. I'm going to tackle my procrastination problem this year.

Sneak Peek

I have been working on a new graphic identity for my friends' latest project. The lovely couple behind this project charms me with their concept of creating fun/ enviroment-friendly kids educational products. Both of them graduated with degree in Industrial Design. The guy just finished his Masters of Design Anthropology last year. What a talented couple! I also got the opportunity to create an illustration for their product packaging. The above image was only 1/4 drawing from the final illustration. Yes, There will be more magical scene on that playground...
